Paint correction is an essential step in any comprehensive detail, and that’s where our One Step all-in-one paint correction compound shines. Specially formulated for use with a Dual-Action Machine Polisher, One Step combines the cutting power of a medium to coarse compound with the refinement of a finishing polish. It starts as a heavy-cut compound, using advanced abrasives that gradually break down to polish and refine the paint, allowing you to restore paintwork and eliminate swirls in just one pass. With no fillers or gimmicks, the result you see is the true, flawless finish.

What sets One Step apart is its fast-acting, active diminishing abrasives, which break down much quicker than traditional compounds. While a heavy abrasive would typically require one or two polish passes to transition to a finishing stage, One Step achieves this seamlessly, allowing for a quicker, more effective correction.

Before starting with machine polishing, ensure the car is thoroughly clean and that all rubber and window surrounds are masked off. For the best results, pair One Step with a yellow Revitalise No. 2 pad and a DPX dual-action polisher. Remember to prime or pre-lubricate new polishing pads—just one spray of Auto Finesse Pad Prime is enough. Then, apply three small dots of One Step onto the pad.

Start by applying the product to a 2-square-foot area on speed setting 1. Spread it evenly over this section to ensure consistent abrasive coverage. To work the compound in, increase the polisher to speed 4, apply light pressure, and use a crosshatch pattern to cover the area twice over.

Next, clean your pad using a pad cleaning brush or compressed air if you have it. Then, return to the panel, lower the speed to 3, and repeat the crosshatch motion twice more. Finally, buff off the product with a Work Cloth to reveal the polished finish.

When you’re finished polishing, take pad No. 2 to the sink, wash it thoroughly, and leave it to air dry. Afterward, follow up with the Caramics Paintwork Protection Kit—an essential step for maintaining the results. Proper pad cleaning is crucial after any compound application, as it removes residual abrasive particles left from previous polishing sessions. These heavy abrasives don’t simply disappear; they become embedded in the compound’s particles and can accumulate in the pad.

To achieve optimal performance with One Step, make it a habit to clean your pad midway through each section. This step removes any buildup of broken-down lacquer, ensuring that your pad stays effective and the polish continues to deliver a refined, even finish.

One Step is designed specifically for machine use—not for hand application. Its diminishing abrasives have a precise particle size that requires the power of a machine polisher to break down fully and achieve the intended finish.

One Step isn’t a substitute for our full three-step Revitalise paint restoration system; it's ideal for those who want impressive results without spending multiple days on machine polishing.
