What’s the difference between a quick wash and a full detail? The answer is in the name – it's all about the details, and those details matter. The good news is that when you're finishing up your next job, there are a few simple touches – especially in the often-overlooked areas – that can instantly elevate your vehicle. Best of all, you only need a bottle of Tripple All in One Polish and a microfibre cloth to clean, restore, and protect. Here are the top areas that are easy to miss but make a big difference…
Here's How It's Done
In addition to hand or machine polishing your exterior panels, Tripple is a cleaner polish, meaning it effectively removes stubborn contamination and oxidation. For all the areas listed below, simply apply a small amount of Tripple to your cloth and you're good to go.
A great place to start is inside and around the handles. Tripple will remove grime, glaze the surface, and conceal light scratches caused by contact when opening and closing doors.
The inside of fuel flaps is often neglected, but Tripple is ideal for removing oxidation and fuel stains from this area.
Removing your numberplates will always reveal a multitude of sins. Here it's likely that you'll find a distinct line where paint has faded, and often a grimy tide mark around where the plate sits. Basically, all the intricate areas that are difficult to clean effectively during the wash stages. These can all be tackled effectively.
The inner mirrors are another detail that sets true detailing enthusiasts apart. It makes sense – after all, these are visible while you're driving.
The painted areas under the bonnet are especially prone to baked-on contamination, often a mix of fumes and embedded grime. After thoroughly cleaning your engine bay, Tripple serves as the perfect finishing touch.
Although you only notice them when getting in and out, door jambs often collect a lot of contamination. For particularly dirty areas, start by using a spritz of Verso to remove the worst of the grime before cleaning with Tripple.
Don't forget the inside of the doors, either – they’re another often-overlooked area.
One area that’s often overlooked is the inside of the panel gaps, especially between the doors. These spots are exposed to the elements and collect all kinds of contaminants. Tripple will restore the paintwork in these areas to its original condition.
Inside boot hatches, often less frequently used than doors, are notorious for ground-in grime and staining from sticky seals and contact with plastic trim. Those stubborn black marks can be easily wiped away.
Finally, hard, smooth plastics like those around rear lights can trap contamination, but they’re easy to clean and restore. Plus, since Tripple contains Carnauba wax, it will protect all of the areas mentioned above—especially important during the winter months, as we’re sure you’ll agree.
