Winter Glass Protection Tips
Cleaning your glass is one of the final steps in a thorough detail, and let's face it, it's crucial—being able to see while driving is pretty important. Sometimes, the basics are the most essential.
As the days get shorter and the weather turns colder, it's even more important to prepare your glass for the winter months. Proper decontamination and protection will help ensure clarity and safety during those harsh conditions. Here’s a guide to the best products and techniques for getting your glass winter-ready…

Remember, this is part of the final finishing touches, so make sure to wash and dry your car thoroughly first. When you're ready to tackle the glass, begin by using Crystal Glass Cleaner on the interior of your windows.

After lightly misting the cleaner onto the surface, simply wipe away any dirt, fingerprints, and sticky residues. It's best to start with the inside first, as this ensures any tougher contaminants on the outside stay where they belong—on the exterior.

Next, move on to the outside. For light contamination, you can use Crystal Glass Cleaner again. However, for heavily stained windows or a full decontamination, Vision Glass Polish is the ideal choice. Its light abrasives not only cut through stubborn contaminants but also remove fine scratches, restoring clarity to your glass.

Place a few pea-sized drops of Vision onto a microfibre applicator.

Gently work the product into the surface using light to medium pressure.

Use a clean microfibre cloth to wipe away even the toughest stains.

This step is optional, but we recommend a light spray of Crystal to ensure no polish residue or dust remains. You'll notice an immediate difference as your microfibre cloth effortlessly glides across the surface.

Now that your windows are crystal clear, it's time to protect the refreshed surface. The best way to do this is with our Caramics Glass Protection Kit.

If you haven't already used Vision, you'd need to prep the surface with the included Caramics Glass Polish. However, since you've already cleaned and polished the windows, you can skip that step and go straight to the Glass Wipes. Simply grab a wipe for each window and you're ready to go!

Apply the wipe to the surface, starting from the middle and working your way outwards, especially on larger windows. Then, move to the other side and repeat the process, ensuring you cover the entire window.

Once the coating has hazed and bonded, simply spray the supplied residue remover and wipe away with a clean microfibre cloth. Make sure to remove any leftover residue for a flawless finish.

After buffing to a crystal-clear finish, the ultra-hydrophobic protection is fully applied. You'll notice incredible water beading and repellency, making future cleaning a breeze as dirt won’t adhere to the surface.

For any future maintenance washes, it's recommended to use Caramics Glass Cleaner on the exterior windows for a streak-free finish and to quickly top up the ceramic protection.
