XS CarNight Umag 2024

We had such a great time on our European Tour last year at XS CarNight Italy that we said we’d sponsor their next event no matter where they choose to hold it… and that’s why we’re here in the popular holiday destination of Umag, Croatia for their main event of 2024.

Now, as we’re nearly at the end of our Croatia tour, we’d already been in Umag for a few days taking in a few smaller shows and meets from the guys at XS Mag - not least their XS Welcome Meet and their awesome XS Cars & Coffee event. But this was the big one – XS CarNight was upon us.

This year would see the very first outing of some of the best show cars in Europe, and one of the most unique locations we’ve ever seen. Just a couple of the things that gives these events such an amazing vibe.

All we had to do was refresh our project cars from such a full-on week of events, restock our VW T2 Bus mobile shop with the world’s best detailing products, and get set up ready for the main show. But don’t worry, we’re very experienced when it comes to seeting up for big events and we even had time to help out some of our other European friends with freshening up their show cars, too. Yes, it’s all part of the service!

When we said we’d fully-support the guys at XS CarNight this year we meant it. Not only did we create an extra special, limited-edition Croatia Tour T-Shirt that was only available here in Umag. But we shipped out a whole car transporter of some of our best AF Project Cars to display all around the venue. We had already had a few of these - including our Pandem Yaris GR and 993 Porsche - out at some of the other meets over the past week, but we saved the best until last – our full custom 1954 Chevy Stepside. This was on display in the prominent area right outside the front door…

It has to be said that we’ve never seen a car show in a tennis complex before, but while the ‘Plava Laguna Tennis Area’ was a crazy venue, it certainly added to the unique atmosphere.

The grandstand area saw ten of the best German builds of the whole event, but that wasn’t all that there was on offer. The entire complex, including all the other courts, was absolutely rammed with amazing cars. The standard of showstoppers here was simply insane, a testament to the European modifying scene, and easily some of the best show cars we’ve seen anywhere in the world.

We don’t have the room to show them all of course, why not get along to the next XS CarNight to witness it for yourself? But, what we can do is bring you a monster gallery of some of our favourites…

Why is this one called XS CarNight? Well, among other things it’s because, when other events seem to run out of steam, this one goes on right into the night. It certainly gives a unique vibe for a car show when the sun goes down.

XS CarNight Umag, as you can see, was nothing short of spectacular, and that goes for the rest of the tour, too. Thanks to the guys at XS Mag for all their hard work and for having us along.
