Microfibre cloths and towels, are one of the all time great detailing essentials. Used in just about every detailing process caring for your accessories in the correct way is crucial, not just for the safest detailing, but to keep your costs to a minimum.
Using the best detailing product to keep them tip top is the answer. Just as long as your micrifibre cloths haven't been used for tyre dressings, ceramic coatings or solvent-based tar and glue removers, it is possible to clean and recondition them, so you can use them over and over again. Here's our step-by-step guide on the easiest way to to keep you microfibres in the best condition…
Microfibre cloths make all the difference when it comes to using detailing products to detail and valet your car. we all know that cloths are a detailer’s best friend – after all,...
Step 1- Divide Your Cloths
First divide your cloths in to short and plush/long pile microfibres, this will help clean them through more thoroughly. We also like to wash our Drying Towels, such as our Aqua Deluxe or Silk Drying Towel separately. These won't have been exposed to any detailing products in normal use so this will ensure they're don't pick up any product residues.
Step 2 - Machine Wash Or Hand Wash?
You can wash by hand or machine. Hand washing is ideal if you have only a few cloths. But for the most part we build up plenty during any detail, so using a washing machine is the easiest way.
Legen Sie Ihre Wäsche in die Waschmaschine, aber überladen Sie sie nicht. Um eine effektive Reinigung zu gewährleisten, sollten Sie etwa die Hälfte einer Standardladung verwenden.
Step 3 - Use The Right Cleaning Products
It's vital to use the right detergent. Never use regular washing powder as this can often leave undissolved particles in microfibre material. These sharp pieces of powder are gritty and can scratch sensitive surfaces like paintwork and gloss plastics. Liquid detergents can be used to clean your microfibre, but we always recommend using a specialist cleaner and reconditioner, such as our Micro Wash Microfibre Detergent. Specifically designed for the job using Micro Wash is the best way to keep the material in the best condition over a long period of time.
It's also important not to add in normal household fabric conditioner when cleaning microfibre cloths for cars. These can leave product residues deep in the material which can interfere with your car cleaning products.
Geben Sie 2–3 Verschlusskappen (ca. 50 ml) Micro Wash Mikrofaserwaschmittel in die Waschmittelschublade der Waschmaschine.

Step 4 - Wash At No More Than 30DegC
Microfibre is weaved from millions of split plastic fibres. These are what hold on to the water molecules and grime when you clean your car. These fibres are soft but, because they're plastic, they can melt easily. When they melt they also clump together and become sharp enough to scratch surfaces. This is why it's important to wash at low temperatures, and to never use a tumble drier.
Instead set your machine on a fast spin wash to help remove the majority of the water after washing, and make sure it's at no more than 30degC.
Step 5 - Hang Them To Air Dry
When your washing machine has finished, hang your cloths somewhere clean to air dry at room temperature. Once the microfibres are completely dry, they can be folded ready for re-use.
